Guess who is Craaay-zay!?

I am...me, that's right.....ME! What sort of person in their right mind, invites 18 children to their house, all between the age's of 5 and 6? Oh, and I also thought this would be a good idea to do when it is at least 100 degrees outside, so they can all..... BE INSIDE!........man, I am soooo awesome. Stay tuned for all the crazy I have planned!

That's so funny!! I hope you don't lose your mind in all of this!
BTW, I got your package--THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I enjoyed going through it, and believe it or not, I've never had address labels for me, so that was the nicest surprise! :) But, you've got to explain the feathers to me, please,please,please....

Oh, and, the water hose can offer many hours of fun OUTSIDE! :) Just let them sit OUTSIDE for about 20 minutes before their parents come to pick them up to go home ;) so they can dry off.

You are crazy! We had a middle of July birthday party for Jordan a couple of years ago. I ahve two words for you. Water balloons, lots and lots of water balloons. The kids had a ball and it helped calm the heat a little!! Hope you survive! :D

Crazy... hmm... well, maybe just a little!! :) What do you have planned? Just an idea for ya... we had a birthday party one time and set up an obstacle course in the house (too cold out in this case) and the kids had a ball. Just a thought... :) GOOD LUCK!
And thanks again for the good mail! You are so awesome!

Very Cool... are you accepting 2 year olds? I have one I can send you.

Yep, you're brave all right. No way can they all stay inside- too much energy- too little space.
You must get them outside for at least part of the party. I've given tons and tons of parties for kids so If you need any ideas just let me know.

Coach J--have decided, I have indeed already lost my mind...fun mail! Glad you liked it...Oh, about those feathers...I will explain....just as soon as I get a few more packages out.---Also thought about the hose, but then I have 18 wet 5 and 6 year olds.....

Amanda--Sass asked AFTER I sent out the invites if it could be a water party.....I am going to do that next year....strictly wet...bathing suits and towels. Then I can get wet themed party favors and prizes.

Melissa--obstacle course...good idea...what I have planned...non-stop games...lots of candy at the end, and send them home. That is my plan....think it will work?

NCS--glad you liked the mail, stick around for my explaination, sometime later next week.

Chel--Ther will be my 3 year old boy there....he could use a friend during the party, send him on over.

JKnee--tons and tons? Send your party energy this way. I do plan some games outside.....yet I need to be realistic, and not send them home with heat stroke.

Who's idea was this anyway?

Wow. I'm in awe. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when one of the neighbors comes over.

Hope it's a great party though. All of our kids have winter birthdays, so we've considered having a half-year birthday party in the summer. Notice I said considered. I need to find more mojo before I attempt it.

Does your party have a theme? If it does just use that theme and alter well known games. Pin the tail on the donkey can be pin the vine on Diego or whatever. Its probably a good idea to have two or more games set up at the same time so the kids don't have long to wait for a turn. After each has had a turn in the group they,as a group switch games. I usually have a coloring area set up for kids that are shy at first and want to wait to join in. If you have helpers have them be in charge of one of the game areas.
When they become rambuncious have them sit in a circle and pass an object (whatever the theme) play music and they pass it around when the music stops that kid gets to pick a prize (better to have all the plrizes the same) out of a treasure box. You'll be the one controlling the music so just stop the music on someone who hasn't had a turn. If they like it change the prizes out and play again. Always have a video ready to go in case of melt downs.
If the party is early get outside right away. I usually have stuff for them to do spread around the yard and let them have at it. ex:
ring toss game, bopper balloons, basketball hoop set up, sidewalk chalk, hoola hoops, mini golf, those crawl through tunnels, pom poms for cheers, craft table with a craft or just pictures to color. etc you get the idea. If you're going to be outside at the beginning of the party have the children mess with the games and then get them all together for group games. If you'll be inside first have a craft or something for them to do as the arrive. Stringing beads is easy and doesn't involve glue.
Dollar stores have all this stuff, it doesn't have to be super sturdy cause its just for one day.
It's gonna be fun!
If ya need any more game ideas let me know
