My hockey players!!

This past weekend Sass scored a record 12 goals in three games. One of the games one other child scored one....in one game, he was the only scorer.....In the last game he scored two hat tricks! (In hockey speak, scoring three goals in a single game.) We found out he did this......all with an ear infection....yeah, he is a total stud.

Also at the same tournament Fash scored his very first goal! He is all about amusement on the ice....doesn't take the game too serious....ie...he skated over to the boards in the middle of the game, to try to talk to me through the glass, to insure I did in fact witness, said goal. Yeah, he is a total stud too!

Coach Mister coached three teams through the tournament....a total of 12 games. He did this all we find out, while having strep throat.....yeah, I got myself a full group of studs.

I am sooo awesome.

In seven days time....

In a matter of one short week....these are the things that have happened.

We had an ultra sound....Dr. described baby as "perfect" as if I would have expected anything else! Plus...he is a boy!

Apparently a pregnant homemaker makes for a good Federal Grand Juror choice. Only a twelve month commitment....found out I am not that wild of a person....cuz there are some crazies out there......should be good times.

I scraped my van against a parked car at noon.

Was accused of a hit and run, and threatened with a ticket for suspicion of a DUI.

Watched a concert at Fash's preschool....of which he sang the loudest, and played the coolest instrument.

Watched a concert which Sass participated in....he of course was the cutest, though I couldn't differentiate him between any of the other children!

I can't wait to see what next week brings.

Are you even curious?

Don't you want to know....all both of my readers? One of you got a phone call, and the other...well....I don't have your phone number....but I can IM you......and maybe I will. Then it will just be us three in on my "somethin's cookin'" it will just be between you and you and I. The rest of you will have to remain in the dark. Then you will all be jealous then......then you won't even be able to come over for a visit....you will just have to sit back at your own station.....sad, so very sad....that you weren't even curious to know what was cookin'.....see....that is what you get.

See......the first time I found one of my little blogging buddies.....the one that connected some of you to others......I was thouroughly entertained.....then she left me.....left me for good....to tend to what SHE was cookin'......see.....then she came back.....but I was already gone.....so she had to beg me to return to her.....which I did.....and I have stayed loyal. BUT NOW.....I have been left.....before I had a chance to leave you.......do you feel bad?

Well......even if you don't care.....I am still going to keep on cookin' that's right.....You can't stop me.....SO THERE!

I thought I might be that sassy.

You Are a Red Crayon
Your world is colored with bright, vivid, wild colors.
You have a deep, complex personality - and you are always expressing something about yourself.
Bold and dominant, you are a natural leader. You have an energy that is intense... and sometimes overwhelming.
Your reaction to everything tends to be strong. You are the master of love-hate relationships.

Your color wheel opposite is green. Green people are way too mellow to understand what drives your energy.
What Color Crayon Are You?
Thanks Millie!

Getting through.....I think

I am spun people.
So many blogs are updated, daily-weekly-monthly......mine remains updated WEAKLY. But whatever.

I need to stop getting involved in things....or something.
I am the Hockey Associations treasurer......may not sound like much, but last year I wrote over 700 checks......plus secured a large loan, the week after I became treasurer....and manage over $200, 000.00 Ahem

I was asked to join the YMCA Board.......their reasoning...."We really, really would like the input of a stay at home mom....." Which I of course translate to mean.....we really need someone to do all the work we don't want to......but I agreed anyhow.

I am the President of my son's Preschool Advisory Board. Which my children have explained to me that I am the Principal of the Preschool.....when I laughed that off......other people agreed with my children.

I teach a class at the YMCA for children age 3-5.....17 of them, we encourage excersize, and have fun and swim time, for two hours, twice a week.

I somehow agreed to watch a friend of mine's 4 year old every Thursday afternoon......though I do not remember agreeing to it, or any conversation which would indicate I would do it......but still, she has started dropping him off every Thursday afternoon. Love the kid, but really?

I agreed to teach in the area Elementary grades 3rd-5th, something called "Junior Achievement" to encourage children to embrace their community, and finance....or something. I got looped into that.............oh, a couple of people "highly recommended me" something....which I interpret as......she will do it, just call her.....she likes to have too much on her plate and stuff.
I do all this for free............unless there is somewhere I am supposed to be picking up a check, that somebody hasn't had a chance to tell me where that is........I will let you know if I hear.....

Oh yeah, and I was asked to be Sass's Assistant soccer coach.........yeah......I declined that one......I just can't run in high heels as quickly as I used to.
I need a nap.
*****out of control update***** just picked up the mail and I flipping got called for Grand Jury duty.....obligated to 12 months....you may be needed out of town.....are they kidding me!!?? Oh.....but they will pay me $4o a day....as if that will make my life work............

What to do when the power goes out!!

So......I am sitting at my computer, minding my own business......well, mine.....and of course yours. I should say, reading my own business........when out of nowhere.....I hear a ***POP*** which sounds like the beginning of one of those big fireworks set off! Then.......

Instant power outage.....

Dang it!

So.......I did what any sensible person would do......I started making dinner.......Yes I did, because that is what I should have been doing in the first place......

Turned on the oven to toast some buns...........yeah, you know the one that ISN'T WORKING......I didn't notice........hmmmmm.

Open the can of baked beans......put them in the pot......turn on the electric stove....yeah, you know the one that ISN'T WORKING!........I didn't notice.....hmmmm.

Then......I put my potatoes in my pampered chef steamer (if you don't have this item, you should get it.....super awesome...best baked potatoes......evah!). Pop it in the microwave and try to cook them.......yeah, you know the one that ISN'T WORKING! Finally I flipping noticed........and, yes....my friends I did try to push the buttons a few times......BEFORE I realized my mistake.

Sooooooo............what do you make for dinner when the power is out my friends......s'mores on the grill......that is right, just crack out the marshmallows....and get to toasting. Have you ever had them with a Reese's peanut butter cup instead of a Hershey bar? There is some protein for you! I am a good mom, there is dairy in chocolate.....and Graham in Graham crackers.....and mellow in marshmallows.....I am covered!

Power was restored 2 hours later. Turns out.....it was some dumb bird flew into the power box about three blocks away......with the POP I heard, pretty sure birdie didn't make it.....I'm just sayin'.
